THE CRAVING
PAPPAS BURGER
5815 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77057

PAPPAS BURGER ON WESTHEIMER
I stopped by Pappas Burger on Westheimer and walked into a clean restaurant with very attentive service right away. I started with the mozzarella bites, which came highly recommended, and they absolutely delivered. The breading was crispy and fried just right, giving a great crunch with every bite.
For the main, I ordered the Pappas burger cooked medium well with onion rings on the side. The burger was juicy and full of flavor, and you could tell the beef was high-quality even at that cook level. The onion rings are more like thin onion strings with a light breading, and they had a great texture and taste. Overall Score: 9.1/10

💻 A former MD Anderson researcher in Houston has been sentenced to 364 days in jail after pleading guilty to attempted theft of trade secrets. Investigators said Yunhai Li downloaded MD Anderson data to personal devices and uploaded it to a Chinese cloud service before trying to leave the country.

Officials say staff and police acted quickly in each case, keeping students safe and making arrests. Two students were expelled, and a man was charged after entering an elementary school with a weapon. The district is also urging parents to talk with their kids and keep firearms secured at home.

HOUSTON-BASED SABLE OFFSHORE RESUMES CALIFORNIA OIL FLOW
🛢️ Houston-based Sable Offshore has restarted moving oil from its offshore California field after a federal order cleared the way. The company said oil is now flowing at an expected gross rate of 50,000 barrels per day, with first sales through the pipeline system expected to begin April 1.
The restart marks a big step for a field that has been shut in since 2015. Sable says the move could boost crude oil supply in California, even as the company continues a legal fight over its pipeline rights.
