Houston police are searching for whoever shot a man and woman inside a southeast Houston home early Sunday. Officers were called to the 12800 block of Glen Hollow Drive around 2:20 a.m. and found both victims dead inside. Police said the victims appeared to be in their 20s or 30s and lived at the home.

Investigators found no weapon at the scene and believe a third person was responsible. Police said the suspect remained at large, described the shooting as an isolated incident and began reviewing nearby cameras. The victims’ names had not been released. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

Houston faces a wetter start to the week as deep Gulf moisture raises the chance of thunderstorms and localized flooding. Forecasters expected scattered storms Sunday, followed by a greater threat Monday, when the chance of rain could reach 80% and the excessive rainfall risk rises to Level 2.

Rain totals through Wednesday could reach 1 to 2 inches across much of the area, with isolated places receiving as much as 4 inches. Highs should stay in the mid-to-upper 80s during the wettest stretch. Drier and warmer weather may return later in the week.

A Houston man was detained Sunday after police said a domestic dispute ended in a fatal shooting. Investigators said a man in his 50s allegedly shot his fiancée’s daughter’s boyfriend during a physical fight at a home in the 3700 block of Odin Court. The victim, a man in his 30s, later died at a hospital.

Police recovered a firearm and questioned two women who were at the home. The detained man was taken to a hospital in stable condition, and investigators had not announced charges. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

United Airlines plans to begin year-round nonstop service between George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Cartagena, Colombia, on December 17. The airline said it will offer four flights each week during the winter, and tickets are already available.

Cartagena will become United’s third destination in Colombia from Houston, joining Bogotá and Medellín. Airport officials said the route strengthens Houston’s position as a gateway to Latin America and gives travelers another direct option for reaching the Colombian Caribbean. The airline described Cartagena as a popular destination known for its history, beaches and culture.

Grimes County deputies detained one man after a deadly shooting near Bedias on Saturday evening. Deputies responded to a disturbance on Independence Drive around 5:12 p.m. and found an adult man suffering from several gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.

A second man identified himself to deputies and was detained while cooperating with investigators. Authorities also questioned a woman who witnessed the incident. The victim’s identity was withheld while relatives were notified. The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Rangers and district attorney’s office are investigating. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

CultureSpace has expanded its Houston showroom after reporting four straight years of about 30% year-over-year growth in the local market. The expansion adds roughly 3,000 square feet, bringing the showroom to about 18,000 square feet.

The family-owned company, which began in 1983, sells custom office furniture and provides workspace services. Its expanded Houston location includes new product displays, interactive technology and spaces designed to show how furniture can work in real settings. The company also plans to place greater focus on hospitality, medical and health care clients as it continues growing in Houston.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo awarded $10.8 million in scholarships to 541 Texas students. Each student received $20,000 to attend one of 49 colleges or universities across the state.

Nearly one-third of the recipients are the first in their families to graduate from high school, and more than half will be first-generation college students. Women make up 66% of the scholarship class. The awards are part of $15 million in scholarships and a broader $30 million education commitment this year. Since 1932, the rodeo has committed about $660 million to education and youth programs.
